  1. Anand says:

In the words of the ancients, one should make his decisions within the space of seven breaths. Lord Takanobu said, “If discrimination is long, it will spoil. ” Lord Naoshige said, “When matters are done leisurely, seven out of ten will turn out badly. A warrior is a person who does things quickly.” When your mind is going hither and thither, discrimination will never be brought to a conclusion. With an intense, fresh and undelaying spirit, one will make his judgments within the space of seven breaths. It is a matter of being determined and having the spirit to break right through to the other side.

Well I don’t have such highly referenced perspective over this issue!!! I believe (or as I have been told by few persons) that whenever your are making decision, follow your heart!!! My mom tells me “Beta pahelo avaaj Bhagwaan no hoy chhe!!!” how I looks at it is: you should listen to whatever your hearts tells you to do, because mind will be able to find 100 reasons (believe me all rational) to support that decision, but vice versa is not true!!!

Oh yeah, another perspective on this. A friend of mine always tells me, ” whenever your heart fluctuates between yes or no decision, say “no”. Because if it was supposed to be “yes”, you would said it long time back (you wouldn’t have question of “yes” or “no” in the first place!!!)

Well, I wouldn’t categorize myself as a very good decision maker, but I am still working on it!!!!
