Few more words which go with Daffodius’ quote. It speaks about love’s integration.
When souls integrate…
Submissiveness unfolds,
And sacrifice begins.
Light of divinity spreads across,
And egos melt, become one.
Eyes see candles burning,
But heart feels presence of love.
Eyes see diminishing candles,
But heart feels living lives.
When souls integrate,
Love radiates and Life shines.

Our personality is our self representation, a dynamic and organized set of characteristics possessed by us that influences our reactions and replies to realities.
Nature and Nurture decide our current state of personality. Nature completes its part as soon as we receive genetic imprints but Nurturing is a life long process.
One of my good friends has put relations and nurturing in very nice way. She believes that relation is a plant that gets nurtured by mutual understanding. It is like planting seeds, continuously nurturing them and growing with them over the period of time. Nurturing relations not only make relation strong but also transform our personalities with qualitative changes.
Wish you fun filled weekend with friends!

When Sudama (Krishna’s friend in epic Mahabharata) had decided gift for his best friend Krishna, history observed one of the rarest expression of love and friendship where the expression and acceptance of love (Gift) was not something like a billion dollar flat or a charter plane or a Mercedes S class or diamond necklace or not even some fancy paper wrapped huge gift box but was just handful of rice!
Handful of rice could serve as a lofty love expression because relation between Sudama and Krishna is absolutely egoless with no wanting and only selfless giving.

Every one of us likes to be praised, to be listened to, to be spoken to with respect, experiencing success at work, having trustworthy friends and many such things in life. But have we ever thought that how can we get all this?
Most of us feel that we are being harshly criticized, ignored or teased, and always cry for our failures. This all happens because we think that our failed experiences are the failures of our own self. We never learn to respect our self so the people around also disrespect us. For most of us, feelings and thoughts about our self fluctuate based on our daily experiences like we feel bad when we get low grades in exams, we feel hurt when friends mistreat us, the ups and downs in professional or personal surroundings. This all collectively impact our wellbeing.
The core problem why this happens with us is that we don’t love, trust and believe in our self. Our self-esteem should be strong enough to give us the strength to fight against not only these normal ups and downs that comes from the situational changes but should prepare us to tackle most complex problems of our lives. God has made every human being special and so we should respect his creativity. Every one of us should possess the specific feelings of self esteem, self confidence and self-competence which can lead us to the path of happiness and success. For people with good basic self-esteem, the normal ups and downs may lead to temporary fluctuations in their lives and that too to a limited extent but for people with poor basic self-esteem, these ups and downs make all the difference in the world. All of us should listen to our inner voice and follow it because it gives us the strength to fight against all odds. This would help us live a happy and satisfied life. We can never feel lonely if we start liking our self because if we think, we have so much to interact and discover about our own self. We should insist on knowing us more, loving us more, give more meaning to our lives and try and find the reason for our existence in this lovely world so that we can do justice to our birth and to the creator. We should believe in ours selves and learn to like ours selves.

I know, cruel postulation that I got this morning but you can not deny possibilities of this future too by considering our current society state.
Humans exit because we have emotions, positive or negative, love or fear, selfish or selfless.
Now, this is bound to happen when every one of us will have relation with purpose. Relation based on personal motives. Relations, in which, I use you to climb the ladder and you use me to climb the ladder. On the same token with self-interested relations, we have started falling in love with Gizmos. We spend more time with cell phones, computer, and cars and so on but we forget that quantity called ‘TIME’ is limited and it progresses on its own, it doesn’t wait for us, more time we spend with gizmos, less time we spend with actual humans (including all – parents, relatives, and friends). If this goes on with same pace, don’t get surprised if you see majority of us fall in love with Robots in 2012 because even with limited programmed emotions, robot will be able to understand (serve) you selflessly (Just a simulation as robots will love because they are meant for it) in the jungle of self-centered relations.
Wish you endless unconditional relations for lifetime!

I liked this poem. We can get multiple meanings out of it based on current psychological needs.
